Seems like curvy women were popular at least from the 1920s to the 1950s. By the 1960s, seemed slowly to head towards less curvy models beginning with models like Twiggy(that name fits), until the late 1990's. Then peaking in the years following 2000-

Hippies (possibly high on acid) streaking during a Labor Day event in 1969 (of course).
